Shannon is a third generation Nevadan with deep roots in the community and Democratic politics. In her four terms in the Nevada State Assembly, she has served on Government Affairs, Judiciary, Transportation, Growth & Infrastructure, Legislative Operations, Natural Resources, Revenue and Chaired the Education Committee.  She was a co-sponsor of the Trust Nevada Women Act and passionately believes that women's health care decisions should be between her and her doctor.
